Referral Program Terms
Last updated: October 27th, 2026
These terms govern the Last Hour Hosting referral program. They are part of our Terms of Service, and section 10 of those Terms (balances, referrals, rewards, and gift boxes) also applies.
1. Who can take part
Any customer in good standing can share a referral link. You must have an active account, you must not be under an enforcement action, and you must not have an open payment dispute with us. We may decline or withdraw participation where the program is being abused.
2. How it works
- You share the referral link or code shown in your portal.
- Someone signs up through it and becomes a paying customer. They must be a new customer of ours — not an existing account, and not an account that has previously been closed for a violation.
- When their payment clears, a commission is credited to your referral balance.
- The referred customer stays active for at least 30 days before the commission becomes withdrawable, so a signup that immediately charges back does not generate a payout.
The rate. Your commission rate is the one shown in your referral dashboard at the time you share the link, and it is locked for that referral. We advertise that you earn a share of every payment and that it can be recurring; that means the commission is paid on each of the referred customer's payments for as long as the rate shown in your dashboard says so, and for as long as they remain a paying customer.
We may change the rate for future referrals at any time. A rate change does not reduce a commission you have already earned, and does not reduce the rate locked to an existing referral unless the change is required by law.
3. Getting paid
- Minimum. Withdrawals require the minimum available balance shown in your portal.
- Methods. Bank transfer or PayPal. We do not pay referrals in cryptocurrency.
- Timing. We process withdrawals within 14 days of the request, after any 30-day clearing period on the underlying payments.
- Fees. We cover our own transfer costs. Any fee your bank or PayPal charges is yours.
- Taxes. You are responsible for the tax on your commission. If you are in the United States and we pay you US$600 or more in a calendar year, we will ask for a Form W-9 and issue a Form 1099-NEC. If you are outside the United States, we will ask for a Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E before the first payout.
- Currency. Commissions are calculated and paid in US dollars.
4. What is not allowed
Your participation ends, and unpaid commissions are forfeited, if you:
- refer yourself, or refer an account you control, or create accounts to refer each other;
- use paid search advertising on our brand name or a confusing variant of it without our written permission;
- bid on our trademarks, or run ads that imply an official affiliation;
- post your link using spam, unsolicited bulk email, comment spam, or forum spam (see the Anti-Spam Policy);
- place your link on coupon, cashback, or voucher-aggregator sites, or in browser extensions, without our written permission;
- make claims about our services that are untrue, or offer a discount you are not authorized to offer;
- misrepresent yourself as acting for us;
- use a referred account to breach the Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Clawback
A commission is reversed if the underlying payment is refunded, reversed, charged back, or never actually cleared, or if the referred account is closed for a breach of our terms within 90 days of signing up. If we have already paid you, the amount is deducted from your future commissions or, if there are none, invoiced to you. We will tell you when we reverse something and why.
6. Your balance
Referral commissions are earned from our own revenue, and approved commissions are withdrawable as described in section 3. Anything else credited to your balance — promotional credit, gift-box donations, SLA credits, refunds issued as credit — is store credit only: it applies to your own Last Hour Hosting invoices, is not withdrawable, and is not transferable. Sections 8 and 10 of the Terms of Service have the detail.
7. Gift boxes
A gift box is a donation page that credits gifts to your Last Hour Hosting balance as store credit. Gifts are not withdrawable in cash. You are responsible for any fundraising registration, disclosure, or tax obligation that applies to your own fundraising, and you may not use a gift box to receive payment for goods or services you sell to third parties. See section 10 of the Terms of Service.
8. Changes and termination
We may change these terms, the commission rate for future referrals, or end the program. We will post changes here and email participants at least 30 days before a change that reduces your rate or ends the program. If we end the program, we will pay commissions you have already earned and which have cleared, and we will not claw back earned commissions except as section 5 allows.
