Anti-Spam Policy
Last updated: October 27th, 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses a Last Hour Hosting service, including your own customers and end users.
1. Our position
We do not send spam, we do not allow our services to be used to send spam, and we will end our relationship with anyone who does. Where a law permits something we still may not: we set our own standard, and it is stricter than the legal minimum.
Spam, for this policy, is any unsolicited bulk message sent without the recipient's prior, informed, verifiable consent — regardless of whether a law calls it legal.
2. What is prohibited
- unsolicited bulk email, whether commercial or not;
- email to a purchased, rented, scraped, appended, or co-registered list;
- email to an opt-in list where you cannot show how and when each recipient opted in;
- forged, obscured, or misleading sender names, From addresses, Reply-To addresses, or subject lines;
- removing or hiding an unsubscribe link, or failing to honour an unsubscribe within 2 business days;
- spim (instant-messenger spam), newsgroup and forum spam, comment spam, and wiki spam;
- classified-ad spam and spam posted in off-topic areas;
- SEO spam, link-farm placement, and mass comment or form submissions;
- automated account creation, and using bots or autodialers to place calls or texts without the consents the TCPA and equivalent laws require;
- sending through another provider's server to hide the origin, and collecting replies that were sent in breach of another provider's policy;
- using our infrastructure to run a mailing service for third parties without a written agreement with us.
3. What we require if you send bulk mail
- confirmed opt-in (double opt-in) with a retained record of when and how consent was given;
- a working one-click unsubscribe that does not require a login;
- a
List-UnsubscribeandList-Unsubscribe-Postheader; - a physical mailing address in the message;
- accurate authentication: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC set up for your sending domain;
- bounce rate below 2% and complaint rate below 0.1% — if you exceed either we will throttle you and work with you to fix the list;
- no use of a domain you do not control as the From or Reply-To.
Sending volume limits are in section 5 of the Acceptable Use Policy. If you need to send more, contact us for a sending plan.
4. Consequences
Breach of this policy may result in throttling, suspension, or termination under section 12 of the Acceptable Use Policy. Where spam is deliberate, we may terminate immediately and refuse future service. Referral commissions and account balances earned through spamming are forfeited, and we may recover the cost of cleaning up after it, including blocklist delisting fees.
5. Indemnity
If you send commercial email and a claim, charge, or penalty arises from it — including under CAN-SPAM, the TCPA, CASL, the GDPR's e-privacy rules, or a state anti-spam statute — you will indemnify us for that claim and its costs, including reasonable legal fees. We will tell you promptly about a claim. We choose our own counsel, and you bear the cost of the defence for a claim caused by your conduct.
6. Reporting spam
Report spam from our network to abuse@lasthourhosting.org. Include the full message with headers, and the URL if there is one. We investigate every report and we will tell you the outcome.
If one of our IP addresses is listed in a blocklist, tell us which list and we will work on delisting. If you are one of our customers and you find our own sending domains on a blocklist, support@lasthourhosting.org and we will fix it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. We post the new version here and update the date above.
