Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 27th, 2026

This policy lists every cookie set by Last Hour Hosting, on both our website and your customer portal. There are far fewer than you would expect.

The short version

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It is sent back to the server on later requests so the server can recognize your browser. A cookie can last for a single visit (a session cookie) or for a set period (a persistent cookie).

Every cookie we set

CookieSet byPurposeTypeExpires
paymenter_sessionyour portalIdentifies your signed-in session so you stay logged in as you move between pages. Without it you would be logged out on every click.Strictly necessary7 days; removed when you sign out
XSRF-TOKENyour portalCross-site request forgery protection. Prevents another website from submitting forms or requests as you.Strictly necessary7 days

Both cookies are set with HttpOnly where applicable, SameSite=Lax, and the Secure flag, so they are only sent over HTTPS and are not readable by JavaScript.

If you tick “remember me” at sign-in, your browser also stores a remember_web_* cookie so you are not asked for your password on your next visit. It contains a random token, is strictly necessary for that feature, lasts 5 years, and is deleted when you sign out or turn the feature off.

Cookies we do not use

CategoryUsed?What it would do
Analytics (Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, etc.)NoCount visits and page views
Advertising and remarketingNoTrack you across sites to show you ads
Social media pixelsNoReport visits to Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.
Session recording or heatmapsNoRecord your mouse and keystrokes
A/B testingNoShow different versions of a page
Live chat widgetsNoThird-party chat embeds
Consent-management bannerNoWe would only need one if we set non-essential cookies

Third-party content

We do not embed third-party content on the site: no embedded videos, no embedded maps, no external fonts, no chat widgets. Our logo and images are served from our own content delivery network, which does not set cookies. As a result, visiting our site does not send your browsing behaviour to any other company.

If you want to block cookies anyway

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; every major browser explains how in its help pages. Blocking the two portal cookies will stop you from signing in, because the portal genuinely cannot work without them. Blocking cookies on this website changes nothing, because there are none.

Signals and preferences

We honour Global Privacy Control and Do-Not-Track signals. Because we do not sell or share personal information and do not run advertising cookies, there is nothing for those signals to opt you out of.

Changes and contact

If we ever add a cookie, we will list it in the table above before it is set, and if it is not strictly necessary we will ask for your consent first. Questions: privacy@lasthourhosting.org. See also our Privacy Policy.
