Accessibility
Last updated: October 27th, 2026
We want everyone to be able to buy and manage hosting with us, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or voice control. This page says where we are, what we are fixing, and how to tell us when something does not work.
1. Our target
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA on lasthourhosting.org and my.lasthourhosting.org. We are not fully conformant today. We would rather say that plainly than claim a level we have not verified.
2. Where we are
| Area | Status |
|---|---|
| Semantic HTML and heading order | In place on both sites |
| Keyboard navigation of the marketing site | In place |
| Keyboard navigation of the customer portal | Mostly in place; admin screens have known gaps |
| Colour contrast | Audited on marketing pages; a small number of secondary-text styles are below 4.5:1 and are being corrected |
| Text resizing to 200% without loss of function | In place on marketing pages; under review in the portal |
| Form labels and error identification | In place |
| Alt text on images | In place for content images; decorative images are marked as decorative |
| Captions on video | The promotional video has captions; older media may not |
| Motion and animation | Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion |
| Screen-reader testing | Partially tested (NVDA and VoiceOver); more coverage needed |
| PDF documents | Some older PDFs are not tagged; ask us and we will send an accessible version |
3. What we are doing about it
- Correcting contrast failures and focus styles in the current release cycle.
- Adding keyboard and screen-reader test cases to the release checklist for the portal.
- Tagging or replacing older PDFs, starting with the documents on the Legal Center page.
- Writing accessibility acceptance criteria into the definition of done for new features.
We do not have a fixed completion date for full conformance because we would rather publish a date we can keep. We will update this page as each item lands.
4. Tell us about a barrier
Email accessibility@lasthourhosting.org with the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If you use assistive technology, tell us which, so we can reproduce it. We acknowledge within 2 business days and aim to fix functional barriers within 10 business days.
If a barrier stops you from completing a purchase or managing your account, we will complete the task for you over email or by phone while we fix it. You will not be charged more for that, and you will not lose a refund window because of it.
5. Third-party content
We do not embed third-party widgets, chat, or video players that we cannot make accessible, which is one of the reasons our site has no third-party scripts at all.
6. Feedback about this page
This statement was last reviewed on the date above. It is reviewed at least twice a year, or whenever a material change is made to either site.
